Ashley River Commons-parking
Dear Ashley River Commons Homeowners and Tenants,
It has been brought to the attention of the Board there many issues within the community with vehicles parked in unapproved areas as well as vehicles blocking access for vehicles backing out of the driveways.
Parking on the grass is not permitted within Ashley River Commons, either on common areas owned by the Association or those areas surrounding your townhome. Likewise, parking on the sidewalks is also a violation. Vehicles are to be parked in your garage or in your driveway. There are over flow parking areas at the curve on Great Oak as well as at the entry area near 4591 Great Oak. These areas are not long term storage for inoperable vehicles but temporary guest parking.
Currently, vehicles not in compliance with the Association guidelines are being stickered giving notice to move the vehicle or it will be towed. Towing will begin on stickered vehicles on June 15th. The fine to retrieve your vehicle is substantial, so please take the necessary steps to ensure your vehicle(s) is parked in your garage or in your driveway (all wheels on concrete), or if you have guests, they may park in the overflow parking lot or on the street (no wheels on grass/side walk). Temporary street parking is permitted as long as wheels are not on the grass or side walk, the vehicle is parked in the same direction as traffic, and safety concerns are addressed (no parking along a curve). We would hope your guest would be courteous enough to park in a manner to not prohibit owners from backing out of their driveways.
Signs will be posted as a reminder of the par king requirements, as well as how to contact the towing company should your vehicle be towed. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
